Wildlife Viewing
Viewing wildlife is an enjoyable activity that is available in many of the Wildlife Management Areas of Texas.
Bannister WMA is part of the Angelina National Forest and host many birds including the restored Eastern Wild Turkey and red-cockaded woodpecker, an endangered species.
The wide variety of native and migrating species of birds makes the area a special bird watching location all year long. White-tailed deer and small fur bearing animals are also native to the area.
