Horned Lizard License Plate Grants
The Wildlife Diversity Program is offering grants to support “shovel-ready” conservation-related projects.
Proposals will be accepted through September 8, 2014. Proposals must be submitted to HLLP.Proposals@tpwd.texas.gov by 5:00 pm on September 8, 2014. Recipients will be announced by October 1, 2014.
Proposals may address any conservation-related issue in Texas and do not have to be related to Horned Lizards. We particularly encourage proposals that address the following priorities:
- Wildlife and nature proposals that benefit local communities, such as community planning or community partnerships.
- Proposals that improve access to wildlife/wildlife viewing, provide nature outreach and education, or provide for habitat restoration and management
- Select priorities for research on Species of Greatest Conservation Need (SGCN) have been identified and can be found here: HLLP SGCN Priorities
