The bluebonnet flower has several colors. It starts out with all blue petals at the bottom, and then blue with white centers and finally white petals on the top. It is the state flower of Texas.

Bluebonnets bloom across Texas in the spring that looks like a carpet of blue in fields and roadsides. The Hill Country is home to a showy variety and in April many people make specials trips to see these flowers.
