Color the Mallard Ducks

Fun to Know:

The male mallard is called a drake. Its head and neck are green with a yellow bill. It has a white collar. The front is rusty brown, the back is brownish-black with some gray and purple. The tail is blue and curls up. The female is brown and tan with an orange bill.

Along with water plants, grain and bugs, mallards eat lots of mosquito larvae. Mallards can fly 60 miles per hour! Male mallards do not stay with the female or its young like some birds.

Mallards are plentiful and are hunted.
