BURNET – A Burnet County grand jury has indicted Travis Aaron Marburger on one count of manslaughter and one count of tampering with evidence in the 2002 boating death of Justin Wayne Roberts.

SOUTH PADRE ISLAND – Hundreds of rare sea turtles stunned by the longest spate of sub-freezing days in decades in South Texas are to be returned to the wild today and tomorrow. As of this morning, more than 800 sea turtles had been rescued from freezing bays and beaches in Texas in the past three days, with more expected to be rescued today and tomorrow.

ATHENS—The Inland Fisheries Division of Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) today announced the availability of a seven-minute video detailing the results of a two-year study to determine the best method of treating largemouth bass suffering from barotrauma.
ATHENS—Falcon International Reservoir kicked in its 12th entry ever into the Toyota ShareLunker program January 31, a 13.22-pound fish caught by Ky Martin of Grandview, Texas. The fish was 25 inches long and 20.5 inches in girth.
ATHENS—The Toyota Texas Bass Classic (TTBC) will return to the Lone Star Convention and Expo Center in Conroe October 28 – 30, 2011. Event proceeds benefit the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) and its outdoor recreation programs.
