HOUSTON — Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) has received a $50,000 grant from the Southeast Aquatic Resources Partnership (SARP) and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to continue and expand oyster reef restoration in Galveston Bay.

ATHENS, Texas — Rainbow trout fishing comes to the Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center in Athens each December, once water temperatures cool enough for the cold-water fish to survive.

Two thousand rainbow trout will be stocked into The Nature Center pond to provide a free fishing opportunity for area youth and their adult fishing mentors. ATHENS, Texas — The latest Toyota ShareLunker had a short ride to its new quarters at the Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center: It was caught from a private lake in Anderson County only a few miles away.
