TPWD, City of Hidalgo Team up to Expand Fishing Opportunities

AUSTIN — City of Hidalgo, using grant funding provided through a partnership with Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD), has completed a series of projects to improve fish habitat and fishing access at Old Hidalgo Pumphouse Channel. The site is located directly adjacent to the Old Hidalgo Pumphouse Museum and World Birding Center.

Las Licencias para Caza y Pesca en Texas Estarán a la Venta a Partir del 15 de agosto

AUSTIN — El inicio de la nueva temporada de caza se acerca rápidamente y el Departamento de Parques y Vida Silvestre de Texas (TPWD) le recuerda a los cazadores y pescadores que compren sus nuevas licencias para la temporada 2022-23.  Las licencias para caza y pesca en Texas actuales expiran al final de agosto de este año (con excepción del Paquete para Pesca en Todas las Aguas 1 Año Después de la Compra).  Las nuevas licencias para la temporada 2022-23 estarán a la venta a partir del 15 de agosto.

Texas Hunting, Fishing Licenses on Sale Aug. 15

AUSTIN – The beginning of a new hunting season is quickly approaching and the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) reminds hunters and anglers to purchase their new licenses for 2022-23. Texas hunting and fishing licenses (except the Year-from-Purchase All-Water Fishing Package) for the current year expire at the end of August. The new licenses for the 2022-23 season go on sale Aug. 15.

La Licencia Digital Ahora es Una Opción Disponible para los Usuarios Supercombo

AUSTIN- Ya no hay porque preocuparse si se olvida la licencia Supercombo en casa gracias a la nueva opción digital de etiquetado de Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD). A partir del ciclo de licencias 2022-23, los residentes de Texas pueden comprar una licencia digital Supercombo (ítems 111, 117 y 990) a través de la cual se autoriza el etiquetado digital de venado, pavo, y tambor rojo gigante. La licencia digital está disponible en línea a partir del 15 de agosto.

New Digital License Option Available for Super Combo Users

AUSTIN— Never worry about forgetting a paper Super Combo license at home again with the new digital tag option from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD). Beginning with the 2022-23 license year, Texas residents can purchase a digital Super Combo license (Items 111, 117 and 990) that will authorize digital tagging of harvested deer, turkey and oversized red drum. The digital license option is available through online purchase only when licenses go on sale August 15.

Invasive Australian Redclaw Crayfish Present in Texas

BROWNSVILLE – Researchers from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley recently collected invasive Australian Redclaw Crayfish (Cherax quadricarinatus) at the first known site in Texas. From January–February, three specimens were collected at an apartment complex pond that connects to a nearby resaca in the Brownsville area.

MILAM – Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) announces the opening of a new paddling trail at Toledo Bend Reservoir on Patroon Bayou. This trail, the 79th official in Texas, is now open and ready for canoeing or kayaking adventures.
