ATHENS—Staff at the Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center are gearing up for Halloween at the Hatchery on October 28, and they need the help of local businesses and organizations.

Local businesses and organizations are invited to have a trick-or-treat candy booth at the event from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. The booth is free, but exhibitors must provide enough give-away candy for 2,000 to 3,000 children. Halloween at the Hatchery provides local families a safe, enjoyable trick-or-treat experience.

TFFC will collect $1 for admission and donate the proceeds to the Rainbow Room of Henderson County, East Texas Crisis Center and the Henderson County Humane Society.

Anyone interested in participating in this community service event should contact Jim Booker at (903) 670-2266 to reserve a space.
