ATHENS—Keith Miller of Waco will reach his goal of catching a fish a day every day for a year at a public event in Waco Saturday, March 31.

Miller, Associate Athletic Director for Compliance at Baylor University, fishes the Brazos River near campus regularly. He will complete his year-long endeavor at the Bledsoe-Miller Recreation Center pier at 300 Martin Luther King, Jr., Blvd. from 9:00 a.m. to noon March 31.

The public is invited to attend and fish with Miller. Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) will provide fishing equipment, a casting activity and a fish habitat placement demonstration. Cameron Park Zoo will have live animals on display.

Miller first completed this grueling marathon in 2009. He decided to repeat the feat in 2011-2012 as a way of encouraging youth and families to get involved in fishing. His daily progress is chronicled on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/KeithMillerFishing.
