AUSTIN – In honor of Veterans Day, Friends of Enchanted Rock and Majesty Tours will provide a free shuttle service to Enchanted Rock State Natural Area on Nov. 8 for active and retired military.

Though the shuttle is only free for active and retired military that day, nonmilitary individuals can pay regular fees to ride the shuttle. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Park entrance fees are waived for everyone that day.

“The shuttle is a great way to visit Enchanted Rock because visitors don’t have to worry about traffic or waiting in line to get into the park,” said Doug Cochran, Enchanted Rock Park Superintendent.

In addition to skipping the line, shuttle riders are also guaranteed entry to Enchanted Rock, even if the park has to close temporarily because it has reached capacity.

The shuttle will leave at the top of every hour from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. from the Texas Ranger Heritage Center at 1618 E. Main St. in Fredericksburg.

The shuttle regularly runs every Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon until Jan. 2. The regular shuttle fee does not cover park entrance fees.
