Texas State Parks, TPWD Facilities Limit Operations

AUSTIN— After careful evaluation of the ongoing public health situation, Texas State Parks will be limiting park programming and closing public access to park headquarters, visitor centers and park stores starting at 12 p.m. Thursday, March 19.

Balmorhea State Park Closure Extended to Summer 2020

TOYAHVALE— After careful consultation with onsite contractors, Balmorhea State Park’s closure has been extended to Summer 2020. The extended closure will allow contractors to continue diligently working towards completing the four major construction projects currently underway without compromising the visitors’ experience and safety.

AUSTIN— Dust off the tinsel and twinkle lights and head to a Texas State Park for some holiday fun. Forty-five Texas State Parks and 10 Texas Historical Commission State Historic Sites will be decking the halls and creating some holiday cheer at more than 80 events statewide through December.
