AUSTIN, Texas — Texas Parks and Wildlife Department has introduced a new brochure which details prohibited species in the seafood market. The brochure describes the harm to humans and the ecosystem that could result if each of the exotic (non-native) species makes it out into the environment.
AUSTIN, Texas — Within the past week, Texas game wardens in New Orleans have rescued close to 5,000 people left stranded by Hurricane Katrina's lingering floodwaters. Meanwhile, hundreds of evacuees are still camping free in dozens of Texas state parks.

AUSTIN, Texas — In the 47th district Court in Amarillo last week, Seledonio Sanchez Cabrera was sentenced to two life terms for a December shooting that left one person dead and a game warden seriously injured.

People getting ready for fall hunting are reminded of two things: those who purchased hunter education deferrals last year will need hunter education this year, and there are hundreds of courses scheduled across Texas where they can fulfill that requirement.
AUSTIN, Texas — The transfer of boats and motors appears to be getting sloppier, with more and more people not getting titles, some sellers altering sale prices on transfer documents to avoid higher taxes and others who are inadvertently purchasing stolen crafts. So game wardens want to advise people to treat the buying or selling of a boat like they would that of an automobile.
