Chronic Wasting Disease is a Real Threat to Texas Deer

AUSTIN — This year, hunters in Texas will notice an increase in messaging about Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) and its impacts to the state as the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) launches a new public awareness campaign.

AUSTIN — Este otoño los cazadores tendrán nuevas oportunidades y escenarios disponibles a través del Programa de Sorteo de Licencias de Caza del Departamento de Parques y Vida Silvestre de Texas (TPWD). El programa, que otorga permisos para los cazadores seleccionados tanto en tierras públicas como privadas en todo el estado de Texas, ahora está aceptando las solicitudes para tener la oportunidad de ganar alguna de las casi 10,000 licencias en más de 60 categorías de caza de alta calidad.

RACA Program Expands Public Fishing, Paddling Access with New Sites

AUSTIN – The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) is increasing public fishing and paddling opportunities in the state thanks to the addition of two leased river access sites through the River Access and Conservation Area (RACA) program. The new sites are located on the Brazos and San Marcos rivers, giving the public more options and flexibility to access these incredible waterways.
