Eleven-year-old Is State’s Youngest Elite Angler

ATHENS — Keatyn Eitelman of Pottsboro became Texas’ 25th Elite Freshwater Angler—and the state’s youngest—on August 2, 2013, less than two weeks before his eleventh birthday. He finished this task when he caught a 21.25-inch, 5.5-pound largemouth bass from Lake Texoma on July 23 and submitted it for a Texas Parks and Wildlife Department Big Fish Award.

Toyota Texas Bass Classic Brings Texas Sized Entertainment to Conroe

CONROE – The Lone Star Convention and Expo Center will once again host the Toyota Texas Bass Classic (TTBC), bringing an incredible array of country music’s most talented acts to Conroe. Eli Young Band will start the weekend’s concerts on Friday, Oct. 4, followed by Southern Slang and Lee Brice before headliners, The Band Perry, on Saturday, Oct. 5. Closing the event Sunday, Oct. 6 will be Thompson Square and Gloriana.
