Burn Ban

Aug. 28, 2026 - The park is under a burn ban. No wood fires allowed. You may use charcoal or containerized stoves (i.e. propane) for cooking only.

Utility Maintenance

A utility outage will occur on Sept. 16, 2026, due to a maintenance project. The outage swill last a few hours, but exact timing is not certain.

• Power will be out at the water plant and at the Nature Center.
• The following areas will not have water pressure:
  • Camping loops and facilities in those loops
  • Nature Center
  • Elm Lake/Hale Lake day-use areas. 

Park Closures

The park will be closed on the following dates:

• Nov. 17 to Nov. 19
• Dec. 15 to Dec. 17

The group camp area and pavilion will be closed on the following dates:

• Oct. 24 to Oct. 25

Only permitted hunters will be allowed on these dates.
