Aug. 26, 2017 - The park is closed due to hazardous weather. They plan to reopen on Mon. Aug. 28, if conditions allow. Check here for updates. 

Closures due to Capacity . . .  
We are experiencing a very high volume of visitors on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. When parking is full, the park will close for up to four hours. Staff will issue parking slips to the first 200 vehicles to guarantee a place in the park when it reopens.

Check our Twitter or Facebook for closure updates or contact the park. The park office opens at 7:30 a.m.

Flashing signs on approaching roads will also alert you if the park is closed. One sign is north of Fredericksburg on R.R. 965; the other is on Hwy. 16 near the R.R. 965 intersection.
