Area Closures

Some areas of the park will be closed on the following dates.

10 p.m. Nov. 29 - 8 a.m. Dec. 7, 2023: All areas past the Old West Stables are closed. The only trails open will be the Pioneer Nature Trail Loop and the CCC/Triassic trails.

10 p.m. Nov. 29 - 8 a.m. Dec. 15, 2023: The Equestrian area, sponsored youth group area and backcountry hiking and camping will be closed. 

Please observe closure signs for your safety. Only drawn, permitted hunters will be allowed in these areas when closed.

Water Alert

June 1, 2023 - Potentially contaminated dam water was released on June 1 and flowed through the park. Please avoid this water and the creeks. We strongly advise having no contact with the water. The water is non-potable.
