Park Alert - Flooding

Park Alert: Areas Closed Due to Hurricane Damage . . .

Oct. 21, 2017: The park is partially open. Only the water and electric camping area, park office, Nature Center, dump station, and restroom building with showers are open. The park gate will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.  The rest of the park is closed for flood repairs until further notice. No hiking, mountain biking, picnicking, fishing, paddling, or swimming will be available.

Paddling is not currently available in the park. The canoe/kayak launch was destroyed by flooding. At this time, we do not know when the launch will be rebuilt. All other launch and takeout points on Village Creek are intact, so paddling on the creek is still possible, just not in the park. Contact the park for more information.

Note: Those entering a closed area are subject to law enforcement action, including citation and expulsion.
