Alan Henry

GOOD. Water clear; 74 degrees; 4.26 feet below pool. Crappie are fair in 20-28 feet of water on minnows. Report by The Bait Shop, Post, Texas.

Arrowhead

GOOD. Water lightly stained; 78 degrees; 4.57 feet below pool. Catfish are improving out in deeper water drifting with fresh cut shad. Crappie had moved out into the summer post spawning grounds. Report by Brandon Brown, Brown’s Guide Service.

Cisco

GOOD. Water stained; 72 degrees; 11.79 feet below pool. Bass and crappie are good on minnows in 10 feet of water. Report by Lake Cisco Rentals.

Coleman

SLOW. Water stained; 78 degrees; 3.01 feet below pool. Lake Coleman has risen about 10 feet. Very few reports from anglers.

Ft. Phantom Hill

GOOD. Water stained; 78 degrees; 6.30 feet below pool. Hybrid striped bass are good drifting with shad. Largemouth bass and white bass are good with spinnerbaits off rocks, especially when it it wind swept.

Greenbelt

FAIR. Water normal stain; 70 degrees; 46.48 feet below pool. Fishing patterns are holding steady. Crappie are fair in shallow water on jigs and minnows. Sand bass are good in shallow water. Largemouth bass are good on soft plastics. A few catfish are being caught. Walleye are slow but the quality is good.

Hubbard Creek

GOOD. Water Stained; 79 degrees; 11.90 feet below pool. Crappie are slow. The lake has not received as much rain as other area lakes and vegetation has not returned like in years past.

Meredith

FAIR. Water stained; 70 degrees; 46.20 feet below pool. Fishing patterns are consistent with some rain in the forecast to start the weekend off. Bass are good on minnows and artificials. Catfish are fair with crawlers, minnows, chicken liver and frozen shad. Crappie are fair with artificial baits and minnows. White bass are excellent on just about anything. Trout are slow on powerbaits, minnows, worms, small spinners, spoons and flies. Walleye are excellent on minnows, grubs, and other artificial baits. Lots of 14-15 inch fish bring caught on trolling flicker shad. The bite on all species seems to be improving, with the exception of trout in the stilling basin. Millers Creek

GOOD. Water stained; 70 degrees; 2.89 feet below pool. Water level increased 3-5 feet in the last week. Gar are spawning near the dam. Blue catfish have been caught near the dam while anglers were targeting crappie with jigs. Crappie are fair in brush piles in 10 feet or more. Largemouth bass are slow, targeting recently submerged areas shallow. Hybrids and white bass can be caught trolling crankbaits.

Nasworthy

FAIR. Water slightly stained; 83 degrees. 0.58 feet below pool. Fishing patterns are holding steady. The bass bite has been good on white chatterbait or spinnerbaits early morning and evening. Midday flipping soft plastics around reed bases in 1-3 feet of water is the ticket to catch shaded up largemouth bass. Also look out for the shad spawn as predatory fish are keying in on this pattern. Crappie were good around boat docks on chartreuse jigs and catfish were fair on cut bait and stink bait around river channel bends. Report provided by the Angelo State Fishing Team.

O.C. Fisher

SLOW. Water stained; 65 degrees; 52.23 feet below pool. Few reports and anglers fishing due to low lake levels.

O.H. Ivie

GOOD. Water slightly stained; 76 degrees; 29.80 feet below pool. Black bass are good to 10 pounds on large worms Texas rigged and on shakey heads. Topwater bite is slowing down on big bass, but numbers are still good. Best depths are 8-18 feet. Better bite has been in the evenings last week. Crappie fair. White bass are still good mid lake and main lake chasing schools of small shad that have recently spawned. Catfish are good on rod-and-reel to 15 pounds on cut shad, shrimp and cheese bait. Oak Creek

SLOW. Water lightly stained; 76 degrees; 16.31 feet below pool. Fishing patterns are similar. Black bass are good on plastic creature baits and stick baits in watermelon purple swirl or green pumpkin, and squarebill crankbaits. Crappie bite is improving on crappie jigs. Catfish are good on cut carp and shad. The trot line anglers are having success with live bait. Report by Bronte Guns and Tackle Pro Staff.

Possum Kingdom

GOOD. Water clear; 83 degrees; 0.10 feet below pool. Striper are fair to good in 30-70 feet of water on live bait, but some can be caught using artificial baits. Spoons are putting a few fish in the boat. Look for them in 30-70 feet. Good colors are white, chartreuse, and silver. Sand bass are fair with fish scattered in small groups in 10-20 feet of water. Use live shad or small slabs and jigs white, and silver are good colors. Catfish are still fair using cut shad in 30-40 feet of water. Water clarity is steady at 2-10 feet of visibility. Proctor

SLOW. Water stained; 75 degrees; 6.30 feet below pool. Shad are running the shorelines attracting predator fish shallow. The only ones that are not open are Copperas Creek Day Use and Promontory Campground.

Spence

SLOW. Water stained; 75 degrees. 48.02 feet below pool. Fishing patterns are consistent. Black bass are good flipping jigs or vibrating jigs into the shallows. Crappie are reported to be slow. Catfish are fair to good on cut bait in deeper pockets. Report by Bronte Guns and Tackle Pro Staff.

Stamford

FAIR. Water stained; 65 degrees; 0.20 feet above pool. Fishing is fair and the pattern is steady as water continues to come into the lake. Crappie are good at the crappie house. Largemouth bass are in similar areas as the crappie hitting the crappie jigs. Channel catfish are fair casting minnows on the rocks.

Twin Buttes

GOOD. Water stained. 76 degrees; 34.19 feet below pool. Catfish are fair in 8 feet of water and deeper. Crappie are still scattered and slow. White bass are occasionally chasing shad on the surface, but can be found in open water hugging the bottom. Report by Captain Michael Peterson, 4 Reel Fun Guide Service.

White River

FAIR. Water normal stain; 70 degrees; 20.34 feet below pool. Crappie are fair using minnows on brush piles. Catfish are being caught on cut bait, minnows and worms from the docks or banks. White bass can be caught trolling near the island with a crankbait.
