Jake Dameron – Obituary and Assessment Call

Jake DameronJake Toolen Dameron, 68, of Bluff Dale, passed away Monday, April 10, 2017, at home. Jake was born on June 6, 1948 in Bryan, Texas to Taylor and Laura Dameron. He married Jane Grumbles on September 6, 1969 and graduated from Texas A&M University in May 1970. Jake became an employee of Texas Parks and Wildlife and served in park management for 30 years. Twenty-three of those years he also served as a park peace officer. After retirement, Jake and Jane moved to the Dameron family ranch near Bluff Dale and became members of Cornerstone Church. Jake is survived by his mother, Laura Dameron, of Stephenville, his wife of 47 years, Jane, his three daughters and their husbands: Rachel and Tim Ware of Glenn Heights, Sarah and Chris Hernandez of The Woodlands, Martha Kay and Zuri Cortez of Pflugerville; four grandchildren: Elizabeth and Caleb Ware and Naomi and Christopher Hernandez; four siblings and their spouses: Clay and Debra Dameron of Stephenville, Laura and Mike Chester of Fort Worth, Charles and Louise Dameron of Pittsburg, and Ray and Marty Dameron of Colleyville. He is also survived by numerous other extended family members. A memorial service was held on Friday, April 14th, at Cornerstone Church in Stephenville. Interment was at Wesley Chapel Cemetery near Bluff Dale. Memorials may be made to Cornerstone Church or Gideons International.

The Texas Parks and Wildlife Mutual Association (TPW Mutual Association) regrets to inform you of the death of one of our members, Jake Dameron.

Jake became a member of the TPW Mutual Association on November 18th, 1985.  He retained his membership up until his death on April 10th, 2017.  A check in the amount of $5,000 was delivered to Mrs. Jane Dameron.

An assessment in the amount of $20.00 will be necessary to bring the policy fund back into balance to have payments on hand for other members in case of death. Please make this payment by the due date listed above.
