- GOOD. Water clear; 84 degrees; 0.27 feet below pool. Striper are fair to good in 30-70 feet of water on live bait, but some can be caught using artificial baits. Spoons are putting a few fish in the boat. Look for them in 30-70 feet. Good colors are white, chartreuse, and silver. Sand bass are fair with fish scattered in small groups in 10-20 feet of water. Use live shad or small slabs and jigs white, and silver are good colors. Catfish are still fair using cut shad in 30-40 feet of water. Water clarity is steady at 2-10 feet of visibility. Bass are good in 20-30 feet on trees and ledges near points with Carolina rigs, shaky heads, glide baits, deep crankbaits. Post spawners are eating very good right now.
