Meredith Fishing Report

Jun 25, 2025
GREAT. Water stained; 75 degrees; 45.16 feet below pool. Sand bass are being caught all around the lake, with silver Kastmasters, pearl blue grubs, and pink jig heads working especially well. White jerkbaits have been effective for both largemouth and smallmouth bass. Catfish action is strong, particularly in Harbor Bay and Bugbee, where shrimp and frozen shad have been producing good results. Crappie are also biting well, with Rosie red minnows being the top choice. Several have been caught in the Sanford Yake area, off docks and in the shallow waters around Bugbee. Perch and bluegill are hitting worms under docks and in shallow areas throughout the lake. Walleye fishing is excellent, especially in the evenings and overnight, with minnows, bottom bouncers, floating worm harnesses, pearl blue plastics, white crankbaits, and pink vibrating blades performing well. Trout fishing has slowed this week, particularly in the Spring Canyon and Stilling Basin areas. Report by Dave Wright, Wright-On Bait, Tackle and Watercraft Rental.
