Submission and Review Process
The application package consists of the Project Application or Proposal form and the Budget Form to be completed on your computer and returned via email attachment. Please read and follow all instructions for both the text (narrative) and proposed budget.
Submit the proposal package (total combined file size in any emailing cannot exceed 25MB; please send separate files if larger than this) to: Wildlife Research
The Landowner Permission form must be included in the final contract.
The completed Proposal Package must be received by email by midnight January 15, 2016.

Review and Funding Process
TPWD will send a confirmation notice to the primary applicant via e-mail within one week of receipt of a proposal package indicating whether it is complete and received by the deadline.
TPWD conducts internal multi-disciplinary technical and administrative reviews on all proposals. See the Project Review Form for insight into the technical review process.
TPWD will notify applicants of tentative award in May or June and will work individually with awardees and their agency/institutions to generate and execute the interagency contract.
Once approval has been granted, TPWD assigns a contract representative (Project Coordinator) to monitor the contract and work with the applicant to implement and complete the project. Funding cannot occur prior to the date of the last signature on the interagency contracts, nor prior to the beginning of the state fiscal year (1 Sept.). TPWD may not know until October which projects will be funded in that fiscal year because our approved budget is not known until then.
Exact details of the grant are fully described in the state contract. All contracts should be read closely. TPWD expressly writes in the contract that at least one co-author must be a TPWD employee.
