Learn To Fish at Texas State Parks

AUSTIN— Cast a line for the first time during upcoming Go Fish events this month at several Texas State Parks. These free workshops teach the basics of fishing and are open to the public.

Families can spend time together learning to fish through hands-on activities. Registration and the event starts at 9 a.m. Equipment and bait are provided or you can bring your own. Adults must accompany children. Sun protection and water are recommended. No fishing license is necessary to fish at any Texas State Park, and entry to parks are free for children 12 and under.
