5K & Kids Fun Run

Come on out for this 5K trail run through our park! Get in a morning work out, see the views and wildlife of our state park, and contribute to our Friends Group all at once.

Friends of Abilene State Park is a group of volunteers who actively support our park to help us preserve our natural, cultural, and recreational resources for the enjoyment of the community and future generations. If this sounds like something you are interested in learning more about, ask our staff for more information about our Friends Group.

The Kid's Fun Run will be 1k in length and is for ages 12 & under.

Advance registration begins March 1, 2024. To sign up for our April 5K, pick up a sign-up form at Abilene State Park headquarters. Day of registration will start at 8:15 AM.

Arrive: 8:15am for registration, race pack pick up, and payment (cash or check)

Start time: 9am

Fun Run: FREE

5K: Advanced race entry- $30, Day of race entry- $35, Park entry fee waived for race participants
