Learn to cast a pole and test your fishing luck on Wright Patman Lake!
Accessibility: Parking will be available at Knights Bluff Day Use. Restroom is next to parking lot. Drinking water is available at multiple water spigots. Path to program is hilly grass and dirt. Path may consist of tree roots and trip hazards.
Program Expectations: Program will consist of a casting safety training, how to put on tackle, casting practice, ethics of fishing, fish identification, and fishing off the bank of Wright Patman Lake. All materials will be provided.
When: 2 - 3 p.m.
Where: Knights Bluff Day Use
What to bring:
- Water
- Sunscreen/Hat/Sunglasses
- Bug Spray
- Preferred Bait/Tackle (Bait and basic tackle will be provided)
Program is included in park entry fees- $3 per person ages 13 and older, 12 and under are free. No need to register, just show up! Programs are subject to cancellation in the event of inclement weather. Cancellations will be announced on Atlanta State Park Facebook page or you can call park headquarters.
