Balmorhea Community Day

A free park entry day full of atlatl throwing, specialty tours, crafts, 10+ education tables, and (of course) swimming!

As a Texas-sized "thank you" to our community, Balmorhea State Park is hosting our inaugural Balmorhea Community Day!

Things to look forward to:

• 10+ education tables from local entities involved in preserving our world (and having fun in it)
• An atlatl throwing station
• A watercolor activity using the water from San Solomon Spring
• Poolside aquascopes, where you can get an up-close look at the fish
• Tours of the park's historical features and natural wonders
• Swimming in the world's largest spring-fed swimming pool!

Join us for a day of community, conservation, and recreation! We appreciate you all being a part of what makes this park special.

• Cost: Free!
• Where: Tables and poolside activities in the pool area, atlatl throwing in the day use area, and tours starting at the double-arched shaded area between the bathhouses
• Bring: Supplies for a safe day in the sun and water
