From Soil to Sun - Planting Seeds
Tue, March 12, 2024
Join us in celebrating National Plant a Flower Day! We'll sow sunflowers while exploring the hidden process a plant goes through from seed to sprout.
How does such a tiny seed turn into a big flower? Why do some seeds put off leaves before roots? Can a seed hitchhike?
We'll answer all of these questions and more as we plant our own sunflowers to take home and grow. Along the way, we'll discover just how enormous of a journey a few inches of soil can really be and learn about the "Goldilocks" conditions a seed needs to spout.
Suitable for children aged 3-9, must be attended by a parent or caregiver.
