Soar into the basics of birding with this junior ranger program!

Take flight into the world of birding and join us for a beginner-friendly avian adventure! We'll take a stroll around the park to learn how to use binoculars and get some experience spotting and identifying local birds.

Make a laid-back trek through Balmorhea, learning how to use your birding toolkit like a nature detective!

• Cost: Free with park entry
• Meet: In between the two bathrooms at the pool area
• Difficulty: Easy, less than 1/2 mile walk, mostly flat
• Bring: Binoculars (or borrow a pair from us), good walking shoes, sun protection, water, and a bird field guide (if you have one)
