No, it's not a mirage, it's a riparian zone! Explore the fantastical Ojito Adentro trail with Ranger Tom to see how life can flourish in such a dry environment.
Come see where and how the desert can come alive when you find an oasis and the microclimates that exist within it.
When: Saturday, March 16, 2024 from 9 AM to 11 AM.
Where: Ojito Adentro TH. Located on Main Park Road approximately 7 miles west of Sauceda Ranger Station.
Difficulty: Moderate. Walking on a rocky surface. The trail does require some bouldering.
Wear: Wide-brimmed hat, hiking shoes, and lightweight layers.
Bring: Water. We recommend 1 L per hour of recreation.
Cost: This event is free with park admission; $5 per person 13 and older. Park Admission is free with a Texas State Parks Pass.
