centennial logoTraces of our indigenous prehistoric heritage surround us if you know how to see them. Join park rangers on a guided tour to view prehistoric rock imagery in Leyva Canyon and talk about how people thrived in the landscape of the Big Bend region.

This program is part of our official Find Your Trail event. 

When: Saturday, Oct. 21, 2023 from 10 AM to 1 PM. 

Where: Meet at the Cinco Tinajas Trailhead. Located on Main Park Road about 2 miles west of Sauceda Ranger Station. 

Distance: 2.5 miles round trip. This will be a strenuous hike.

Bring: Water and a lunch. We recommend 1 L for every hour you hike.

Wear: Lightweight layers, a hat, and comfortable hiking shoes.
