Join a ranger to learn how to navigate the backcountry of Big Bend Ranch State Park!
Join Ranger Layla to discover how to traverse the backcountry of the park. In this workshop you will learn how to use a compass and navigate using a topographic map.
When: Tuesday, November 21, 2023 from 6 PM to 7:30 PM
Where: Lower Madera Campground. Located on FM 170 (River Road) approximately 14 miles from Barton Warnock Visitor Center and 35 miles from Fort Leaton State Historic Site.
Bring: Water. Maps and Compasses will be provided.
Wear: A hat and comfortable shoes.
