Fireside Chat - The Magnificent Moon

Gather round the fire as we marvel at the splendor of the Moon!
Join Ranger Layla around the fire to chat about the Moon's importance. We will share stories about the moon and dispel common myths. There will also be time view the moon through a telescope.
When: Saturday, March 16, 2024 from 7:30 PM to 9 PM
Where: Lower Madera Campground. Located on FM 170 (River Road) approximately 13 miles from Barton Warnock Visitor Center and 43 miles from Fort Leaton State Historic Site.
Bring: Water & a flashlight/headlamp (preferably with a red bulb)
Wear: Lightweight layers, hat, and comfortable shoes. Be sure to check the weather for temperatures will be cooler.
Cost: This event is free with park admission; $5 per person 13 and older. Park admission is free with a Texas State Parks Pass.
