What goes crawling in the night shouldn't give such a fright!
Join Ranger Layla on a 1 mile hike to uncover that the sounds of the night are not as scary as we think. Big Bend Ranch State Park is home to a wide variety of animals with unique adaptations to help them navigate the night.
When: Tuesday, October 31, 2023 from 8 PM - 9 PM.
Where: Hoodoos Trailhead. Located on FM 170 (River Road) approximately 26 miles from Barton Warnock Visitor Center and 22 miles from Fort Leaton State Historic Site.
Bring: Water. We recommend 1 L for every hour you hike. A headlamp or flashlight., red-bulbed is preferred.
Wear: Layers, a hat, and comfortable hiking shoes. Please check the weather before deciding what to wear, the desert gets cooler at night.
Cost: This event is free with park admission; $5 per person 13 and older. Park Admission is free with a Texas State Parks Pass.
