The Stars at Night are Big and Bright👏👏👏👏! Join park rangers on a tour across our galactic neighborhood.
Explore the far out reaches of the universe and share stories behind your favorite constellation. Park Rangers will take you on a guided tour of our night sky and look at some of your favorite planets and stars through a telescope.
Reservations are required due to limited space. Please contact Ranger Layla at layla.spurlock@tpwd.texas.gov to reserve your spot.
When: Saturday, January 13, 2023 from 7 PM to 9 PM
Where: West Contrabando Trailhead. Located on FM 170 (River Road) approximately 7 miles from Barton Warnock Visitor Center and 40 miles from Fort Leaton State Historic Site.
Bring: Camp Chair, Blankets (it gets cooler in the desert at night), and a red bulb flashlight/headlamp.
Cost: This event is free with park admission, $5 per person 13 and older. Park Admission is free with a Texas State Parks Pass.
