The Park After Dark

Join Ranger Arian for an evening of fun activities that will showcase how animals adapt to the dark vs. humans!
Come learn about the nocturnal animals that call the park home and their unique adaptations.
What to expect: We will learn how our eyes adapt to light. How certain animals have night vision and do a few activities to help you understand how to find creatures at night.
When: Wednesday, March 13, 2024 from 8 PM to 9 PM.
Where: Grassy Banks Campground. Located on FM Grassy Banks Campground. Located on FM 170 (River Road) approximately 11 miles west of Barton Warnock Visitor Center and 37 miles east of Fort Leaton State Historic Site.
Wear: Comfortable clothing.
Cost: This event is free with park admission; $5 per person 13 and older. Park Admission is free with a Texas State Parks Pass.
