Geology, it's complicated and exciting! It also shapes everything we see in the park. Join Ranger Layla on a 1 mile hike through Closed Canyon to learn how the geology of this canyon makes way for life to emerge.
When: Saturday, April 13, 2024 from 9:30 AM - 11:30 AM.
Where: Closed Canyon Trailhead. Located on FM 170 (River Road) approximately 21 miles from Barton Warnock Visitor Center.
Bring: Water. We recommend 1 L for every hour you hike.
Wear: Lightweight layers, a hat, and comfortable hiking shoes. Check weather before deciding what to wear.
Cost: This event is free with park admission, $5 per person 13 and older. Park Admission is free with a Texas State Parks Pass.
