Come out and remove the mystery of those eerie night sounds and find out how cool they actually are!
Humans are poorly adapted for the dark, while most mammals and many other animals thrive. This gives un an inherent fear, but when we listen more closely to those sounds we find fascinating wildlife that excel in the dark and have some unique ways of doing so.
When: Thursday, March 14, 2024 from 8:15 PM to 9:30 PM.
Where: Grassy Banks Campground. Located on FM 170 (River Road) approximately 11 miles west of Barton Warnock Visitor Center and 37 miles east of Fort Leaton State Historic Site.
Wear: Durable shoes & hiking clothes.
Bring: Water & bug spray.
Optional: Flashlight
Cost: This event is free with park admission; $5 per person 13 and older. Park Admission is free with a Texas State Parks Pass.
