A desert friendship like no other. Meet the flower and moth that can’t live without each other.

Join us for a walk and talk as we explore the desert gardens and the remarkable bond between the yucca plant and the tiny moth that keeps it blooming. Discover how this relationship sustains life across the Chihuahuan Desert. Then, get hands-on and try your skill at making traditional rope using yucca fibers.

When: Saturday, July 5, 2025 

Where: Barton Warnock Visitor Center

Cost: This event is free with park admission, $5 per person 13 and older. Park Admission is free with a Texas State Parks Pass
