Fire Through our Forest

What happens when a fire burns through a forest? Come find out!

Location: Bastrop State Park –Day Use Area near playground                                     

What: Learn about the history of fire presence in the Lost Pines forest and find out the health of our forest today. Watch a demonstration on a burn board of healthy vs nonhealthy forest and what happens when a fire comes through each one.

Program is free after park entrance fees are paid. Park entrance fee is $5 per adult 13 and older. Children 12 and under are free!
