Great Bird Migration Game & Bird Beak Exploration

Texas Master Naturalists will help you explore the fantastic, feathery world of birds with fun interactive activities! Fun and easy for all ages!
Join the Lost Pines Texas Master Naturalist Volunteers for a fun come and go program from 10am to Noon!
Meet at the picnic table and playfield behind the Historic Golf Shelter.
There is no restrooms at this location so please use the restroom and water bottle filling stations at either Park Headquarters or the restrooms at Piney Hill or Copperas Creek camp loops before arriving to the program location.
Learn about bird beaks, their shapes, designs and uses for grabbing certain foods with an interactive exploration station.
Then join in on the Great Bird Migration game and see if you could survive as a bird migrating to your wintering grounds!
This program is a come and go activity from 10am to 12pm behind the Historic Golf Shelter at Bastrop State Park.
This program is free after park entry fee is paid. Park entry fee is $5 per adult, children 12 and under are free.
