"Neat"ure Journaling!
Sat, August 23, 2025
There's a lot to learn about nature that's neat! Let's follow in the path of John Muir and find a fun way to keep memories of our discoveries!
John Muir kept a detailed journal of different plants and animals he came across on his explorations and would send drawn sketches and detailed writings to friends of his discoveries. During this program we will learn the art of making our own nature journals and just how neat they can be!
We will go on a very short and easy exploration hike for our journal inspiration!
Meet: CCC Shade Shelter/Group Picnic Shelter at Copperas Creek Camp Loop near the restroom building. ( 15 minute drive on Highway 71 or 35 minute scenic drive on Park Road 1C from Buescher State Park)
Bring: Water, sunscreen and a bound journal if you wish.
All materials for program will be provided.
Program is free after park entrance fee is paid.
