Join a Lost Pines Master Naturalist on this fun hike to find out which predators lurk in the Lost Pines forest!
Have you ever wondered why your cat's eyes glow in the dark? Or why dogs lick their nose? Learn the answers to these questions and more as we explore ways predators use adaptations to stalk their prey.
When: 10 - 11:30 a.m.
Where: Bastrop State Park
Meet at the Playground Area near the Piney Hill Restroom
Look for hike leader Benjamin, who will be wearing a Master Naturalist name tag and standing near the large Trails Map Sign.
Distance: 1 mile
Difficulty: Moderate
Guided Hike will be on a 1-mile dirt/sand/rocky hiking trail that has elevation changes, steep hills in areas, uneven terrain, and steps.
Bring: Close-toed shoes, water, weather appropriate clothing
Program is free after park entrance fee is paid. Park entrance fee is $5 per adult. Kids 12 and under are free!
