First Day Hike

Ring in the NEW year on this OLD trail.

Spend the first day of 2025 in nature!  Take a hike on an easy 1.5-mile* trail through the park.  Learn about the wildlife around you and enjoy the climate of a deep south Texas winter. 

*Distance from trail head.  Add .5 miles each way from park store.

• Bring: Water, bug spray, comfortable shoes, weather appropriate clothing
• Meet: Headquarters, Tram Turnaround

• Cost: Entry fee is $5 for ages 13 & older and FREE 12 & under (Park entry free with Texas State Park Pass.)

• Registration:  Registration Not Required
