100 S’more Years

UPDATE: S'mores pick up location has been moved to the HQ building. Help us celebrate 100 years of Texas State Parks with solar oven-baked s’more treats and some fun trivia.

What better way to celebrate the past 100 years of Texas State Parks and look forward to 100 more years than enjoying s’mores with family or friends?

• What: Use a solar oven to bake your s’mores. While your s’mores are melting, learn more about the sun, s’mores, and Texas State Parks. S’mores ingredients have been donated by H-E-B and will be provided for free (while supplies last).
• When: There will be a short presentation and trivia game led by Ranger Arlyne at 10am. After the presentation/trivia the format will be "come-and-go" while supplies last or until 11:30am.
• Where to meet: HQ building
• What to bring: The event will be outdoors. Bring your own water bottle. Please dress for the weather and bring your own sun protection.

Texas State Parks will be hosting fun and unique s’mores celebrations across Texas on May 13. If you can’t make it to a park, join the fun by hosting your own s’mores get-together. Post a photo of your s’mores celebration on Facebook or Instagram @texasstateparks.org with the hashtag #100SmoreYears.
