First Day Hike - Scenic Loop

Start your new year with a guided hike through Big Spring State Park!

Where to meet: Meet at the parking area at the entrance of the park.

Please note: Restrooms are not available at the park entrance. Please arrive early to use the restrooms at the top of the hill before meeting at the entrance. No restrooms are located along the trail.

Distance and difficulty: The hike will be about 4 miles. The trail includes rocky and uneven surfaces, and changes in elevation.

What to wear and what to bring: Dress for the weather and wear clothes and shoes that are comfortable for hiking. Bring your own water bottles and sun protection (e.g. hats, sunglass, sunscreen). Bringing your own snacks, binoculars, and/or camera are recommended, but not required.
