Guided Hike: Exploring Scenic Mountain

What plants and animals can be found on beautiful Scenic Mountain? How were they used by those before us? What makes this ecosystem tick? Join us for a hike down the nature trail with a visiting ranger as we explore this special area!

Where to meet: Meet at the Headquarters building.

Distance and difficulty: The hike will be about 1 mile round-trip. The hike will be on the Nature Trail. The Nature Trail includes sloped, gravelly walking surfaces with some stair step-like portions.

What to wear and what to bring: Dress for the weather and wear clothes and shoes that are comfortable for walking. Bring your own water bottles and sun protection (e.g. hats, sunglasses, sunscreen). Bringing your own snacks, binoculars, and/or camera are recommended, but not required.
