Fishing 101

Learn the basics of fishing and reel one in!

Join a ranger or angler education volunteer to learn the basics of fishing. Participants will have the opportunity to practice casting using the backyard bass game and test their luck fishing in the Blanco River. All fishing gear will be provided. Fishing license NOT required.

Poles are limited and will be used on a first-come, first-served basis. Feel free to bring your own pole if you have one.

• Meet:  Near the kayak launch area. 
• Bring:  Water, sunscreen, and a chair.
• Cost:  Free with park admission; Adults: $5, Children 12 & under: Free
