Learn the history of pumpkins in Texas, learn to roast (and taste) pumpkin seeds, do a pumpkin craft, and hear a pumpkin song, written and performed by local performer and songwriter Paul Cash.
Join us to learn about the history of the pumpkin in Texas and how its uses have transformed. We will also demonstrate roasting pumpkin seeds harvested from a pumpkin, offer pumpkin seed taste testing, make a paper pumpkin lantern, and we'll sing a pumpkin song!
Meet: In the Pavilion, in the campground area.
Bring: Smiles if possible.
Cost: Free with an annual park pass, or paid daily pass, which is $5.00 for adults and youth ages 13 and over. Children are free.
