Intro to Astronomy

Learn how to navigate the bright night sky in the heart of Texas.

Join Ranger Katy under the stars for an introduction to astronomy. We will learn how to navigate the stars and other night sky objects and where to look during different seasons! We also have a very special guest...The Wizard of the Night Sky will talk about light pollution and the benefits of dark skies! 

Feel free to bring your own equipment (telescopes, binoculars, cameras, etc.). We will also have a telescope set up for people to view.  

Feel free to stay after and stargaze on your own.  

Remember, the park closes at 10 p.m. for day users.

Bring: family, friends, and a chair or blanket to sit on.
